I love Cornwall. I discovered this beautiful coast 2 years ago, when we decided to brave the 5 hour drive, with the children. We loved it so much I knew that Cornwall was a place you have to visit again.
This year was my 40th birthday and to celebrate, I made a list of favourite places, that I wanted to visit, and Cornwall had to be one of them . It’s beautiful coast is better than many mediterranean beaches.
We discovered “caravaning’ a few years ago, we decided to give it a try, after some friends recommended it, saying the children loved the experience.
This year we booked ‘Haven” – Riviere Sands, The children absolutely loved it. The caravans are small, but perfectly functional for a family of 4, Ours was a newer model, so had all the mod cons including flat screen TV’s, dishwasher and bluetooth. I must add that it was so so clean!
Haven is a great option for the Easter break as its lovely to be able to use an indoor pool, and get involved in many other activities, if the weather isn’t great.
My family tend to use the the caravan as a place to sleep, As we enjoy the adventure of exploring an area.
Our First stop was St Ives.

Carbis bay is a short walk from St Ives, and the little cove beach is absolutely stunning.

On the second day the weather wasn’t so nice , so we swam at the resort in the morning and then went for an afternoon coastal drive to Lands End. It was absolutely beautiful and I really recommend it, if you have time. The road B3306 – goes from St Ives to Sennen Cove , which then leads to Lands End. The road is a wonderful hilly drive through , farmland, coastal areas and villages. We even got stopped by cows crossing which the children found hilarious.

Lands End was breathtaking. We explored the wild edges of the cliff area, and sat down and had a cream tea at the Land’s End Hotel. It was gorgeous sitting there watching the sunset. On our last day, we flew kites on the beach , and had a lovely lunch at the National Trusts Godrevy beach, where we watched the surfers and admired the cute little lighthouse.
I cant recommend Cornwall enough, when I am there my soul feels free. My family and I have taken some wonderful memories home from this trip. I hope you do too.
I hope enjoyed reading this post, I’d be happy to answer any questions you have. ( This post was not sponsored. )

I so agree with you, Cornwall is good for the soul. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos, they bring back happy memories for me. I have enjoyed holidays staying in St Ives and Mevagissey and my children absolutely love the many beautiful beaches. I spent my 40th birthday travelling to St Ives for two wonderful weeks and my family even managed to smuggle a birthday cake along too. Hope you enjoyed your birthday!

I promise that the drive isn’t too bad, it’s so worth it! Much easier than a plane ride with the children, as you can stop off at anytime. Thank you for popping over. Lots of love x
