A couple of weekends ago, we visited Columbia Road Flower Market. If you haven’t been it’s a must-see. I may be biased as I’m such a lover of flowers – but this place is so unique and just so fun and beautiful at the same time. Its also enveloped in years and years of East End History. The flowers are also surprisingly reasonable for being such a hugely popular place. Every corner you turn there is something to catch your eye or a smell that leads you to somewhere else. I really can’t express how much I love it. The only downside is that is a very busy place, so I’m not sure its super child-friendly, but my children are used to being squashed and squeezed a little, Its the Londoner in us I guess.

If you love flowers, then you must make a pilgrimage to this place. Seas of the most beautiful colours, shapes and textures. I could have stayed all day to play photography!
Amongst the gorgeous flowers, you’ll find the most gorgeous Vintage Shops, that stock the most interesting pieces. The journey Columbia takes you down is almost surreal, a transportation into another time and place.
With all the interesting sights and sounds, you just can’t help but feel hungry, there are little courtyards filled with Art Galleries and Cafes. We stopped at Lily Vanilli and filled up on Fat, flaky Sausage rolls, beautiful cakes for home time and lovely coffee.
Columbia Road fills every sense with excitement. It’s a great way to spend a lazy Sunday.
It is on my top 5 of places to visit in London. Here is a link to some information
